like people, dogs can be heart disease. Acquired heart defects is the most common form.

There are basically two forms of heart disease in dogs. The first occurs when the valves in the heart of the dog is no longer able to close the blood flow. The second occurs when the heart wall is weakened and thin. Both types lead to heart failure.

A dog with heart disease appear sluggish and without appetite. Weight loss. They are coughing, seem generally weak and sick, and it is likely difficulty breathing. This is due to the structure in the lung fluid, sodium and water retention in the kidneys, and restrictive blood flow in the dog's blood vessels.

It is important that you take your dog to the vet regularly so they can check for signs of this disease. You may provide additional information and tests such as X-ray - blood tests, urine tests, or ECG. Early detection is important in order treatment options.

Good preventive measures to ensure the health of your dog are to exercise frequently and make sure they eat a balanced diet. Like humans, overweight dogs are more likely to develop heart disease. Exercising with your dog can be good for you as well and strengthen the bond between humans and animals.

There are some ways has your veterinarian for the treatment of dogs with heart disease, but you can help make sure that they are not in first place and start early, when they do.
