adult congenital heart disease program

adult congenital heart disease program
To your chances of heart disease, you can eat low-fat diet with high omega-3, regular physical activity, weight reduction and do all the other things the doctors tell us, but ... ..

Consider my family ....

Paternal grandfather - the first heart attack in his fifties, finally died of a stroke at the unripe age of 67 years.

Maternal grandfather - the first heart attack in his forties and died of a heart attack at the age of 67 again.

Father - died very suddenly at the tender age of 65 years - you guessed it - from a massive heart attack that is never a sign of heart problems up to this point.

Mother - suffered from acute angina since their late forties. She is now 60 and takes a daily cocktail of drugs to control symptoms

Uncle - after a heart attack at the age of forty and has actually been disabled.

Nothing I can do about all these factors and genetic factors are thought to play an important role in the development of the disease. After the death of my father in 2002, I began my life in question and in a health-obsessed freak. The emphasis of this, my blood pressure to 140 over 90 and I was more damage to my body as well. I had to re-examine the whole situation.

The big question is: should I eat ultra useful exercise rigorously, cut the alcohol (luckily I have not smoked nearly 8 years) and eat my way through a forest of plant sterols and generally unhappy, or bow to the inevitable and enjoy whatever time I have before my heart in packs?

All the doctors and my head I would say should be sensible and not the former, while my heart (!) Where to me to live life to the full, because I know only too painfully by the death of my father, that life is short and each minutes should not have wasted.

Now the good news is that - at the moment my blood pressure is normal, my cholesterol is 4.8 (below 5 is good) and I regularly hikes and competitive play every week at the ripe age of 38 years. OK I'm a few pounds heavier than I should and I have a pretty stressful job. I will continue to ensure I'm a regular basis (every 2 years is the best I've been told) by the doctors in the hope that every problem will have early and treated, and perhaps can I get the dreaded four-oh with optimism instead of dread .

May All concerned about hereditary heart disease, the strength of these walks and stop stresses themselves (literally to death) by the concern for achieving the ultimate healthy way of life.

Take heart! Makes sense does not compulsively. Get checked regularly.
