fatal ischemic heart disease

Stress is a major problem in Western culture. The British government estimates that stress costs the UK economy over £ 7 billion ($ 14 billion) in 2001. With up to 80% of all accidents at work through stress, it is quickly becoming a major problem that both industry and health care want to control and reduce.

If you are stressed, a hormone known as ACTH or Adrenocorticotrophic is in your blood. This triggers the fight or flight mechanism, which in your heart rate acceleration, such as blood is pumped around the body faster.
Short term, that's fine, as is his way of your system. Long term, however, and there is a problem, because it stays in your system, enter below. Finally, the immune system damage, and possibly even a heart attack.

Why?

The human heart is designed to operate continuously at a certain rate with occasional explosions at a higher rate. If you are stressed, your heart rate increases and the stresses you are during the day your heart will remain at the higher rate.

Let us compare to a car to give you a visual representation of what we are talking about. Make sure your car into a low (or first gear). Without the foot on the accelerator, it ticks over nicely. This is equivalent to your normal resting heart beat faster.

Now, place your feet flat on the floor and listen to the sound of the engine. This is equivalent to your heartbeat race.

What do you think would happen if your engine is operating with each race and that noise? How far would you have before the engine exploded into pieces?

The analogy shows you what you do to your heart when you are constantly stressed.

It is no coincidence that otherwise healthy people who exercise, eat well and not drink or smoke, have a sudden heart attack - it is the creation of stress in their lives.

In 2002 the British Medical Journal published the results of an experiment in which hundreds of people, followed by up to ten years and monitored their lives. What they discovered was that people felt that they over-whelmed by their work or have the mundane day to day activities with no chance of the development or further development were almost three times as likely to develop heart disease than those who do not have this stresses.

They also discovered that these people suffer from stress were two to three times longer, which is a life ending heart attack.

And that's just from stress.
